Zero Lot Line A term generally used to describe the positioning of a structure on a lot so that one side rests directly on the lot's boundary line (no set back). Where allowed by zoning and/or deed restrictions, it is used for "garden homes".

Zero Point Option An option which allows the borrower to not pay the points associated with the loan origination fee. This savings is offset by a slightly higher loan interest rate.

Zoning Ordinances The acts of an authorized local government establishing building codes, and setting forth regulations for property land usage.

Zoning Procedure that classifies real property for a number of different users: residential, commercial, industrial, etc., in accordance with a land-use plan. Ordinances are enforced by a governing body or locality.
